Explore the Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park Hiking Trails
Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park is worth exploring by kayak AND foot! Gopher tortoises, deer, and plenty of coastal birds are often spotted. Here’s what you need to know before hitting the Springs Trail:
The Springs Trail is about a mile long
The trailhead can be found here, near to the first parking lot inside the main entrance of Werner-Boyce
The boardwalk on the Springs Trail is closed, but you can walk up to it in both directions
There is no swimming inside the park
Bring bug spray, especially if you’re walking at dawn and dusk
